It is fairly common knowledge that we are suffering the worst drought in the last 100 years here in Cape Town. We are asking all visitors to Hout Bay to be diligent about saving water. The city is currently implementing a few plans to release more water and hopefully it will be enough to see us through to next winter.

The good news is that our flagship building “The Village’ has its own well point and water purification system meaning that we are not reliant on municipal water. The water is 99% pure and fine for drinking.

Regardless, we would appeal to all our visitors to please be conscious of using as little water as possible and definitely discourage using the baths in our apartments! We will work together to save our water resources!
